Pé Roto is a SLUDGE/DOOM band formed in late 2014 by Filipe “Liposo” Silva on bass, Nelson “Banjo” Velho (Decrepedemic, Stuprum Dei, Distrofia, Extreme Retaliation, Hawks n’ Hounds and Fast Eddie Nelson’s and Grunt’s session musician) on rythm guitar, Tiago “Frodo” Oliveira (Avenida dos Trópicos, Wanna Gondwana, Cacofónico) on drums, Vasco Grilo on solo guitar and António Costa (Without Face, Carne Pa Canhão) on vocals.

The voice, eager and visceral, shouts slogans over sonic layers overwhelming bass, so heavy and distorted that it drags on, creating an atmosphere dense and full of sound immersion. The lyric addresses the criticism of social injustices and inequalities, as well as existentialist issues of the human being and its darker facets. Themes like capitalism and religion, greed and freedom are cornerstones of the narrative of creations by Pé Roto, whose music carries a message and a very important symbolic weight in the band’s identity.

They edited their debut EP, Bracara Angvstia (Mad Pulse, 2016), with a good reception by the public and critics, with many performances in several theaters and festivals in the country.

In 2022 the new album TORMENTO is ready to be edited, that will happen in late 2022 / early 2023. The new album brings together the band’s most mature and heaviest material, that promises to melt the ears of fans of EYEHATEGOD, Weedeater, Electric Wizard, Dopetrone, Monolord, Windhand, etc.
